Physical Description.

Weight: 5 to 12 kg.

Height: 25 to 38 cm.

Coat Length: medium to long
Color: gold, tan, cream, black, apricot, red, chocolate and brown. With or without markings.

Personality.

Cavoodles are highly social and love to be around people, making them great family pets. They are well-suited for children as they are patient and gentle with young ones.

It's important to note Cavoodles require regular exercise and playtime to keep them mentally and physically stimulated.

While they are generally healthy dogs, Cavoodles can be predisposed to certain health issues and diseases.

  • Mitral Valve Disease is quite common in the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel breed. This hereditary disease has nothing to do with the dog’s lifestyle and is all about the genes your Cavoodle may have inherited.
  • Canine Hip Dysplasia (CHD) is a condition in dogs where the hip joint, which should work like a ball and socket, doesn’t fit together as it should.
  • Patellar luxation is a condition where a dog’s kneecap (patella) doesn’t stay in its proper position and slips or moves out of place. When this happens, it can look like your dog is skipping, hopping on three legs, or even holding one of their hind legs at an odd angle.

It’s important to take your Cavoodle for regular check-ups with a veterinarian, maintain a healthy diet and exercise routine, and be aware of any potential health issues that may arise.

FAQs

What is pet insurance and why should I consider it for my pet?

It's common for cats and dogs to require veterinary attention at some point in their lives, and the severity and cost of such care can be unpredictable. Our pet insurance is designed to provide extensive coverage for unexpected injuries and illnesses your pet may face. Knose Pet Insurance offers extensive plans that encompass dog insurance and cat insurance, catering to pets living with you in Australia. We prioritise your pet's well-being and don't impose sub-limits, ensuring they have access to veterinary treatment whenever they need it most.

What pets are eligible?

Knose Pet Insurance provides coverage for companion cats and dogs residing with you in Australia. We focus exclusively on these types of pets, so it's important to note that we do not cover any other type of animals.
Additionally, certain breeds are considered dangerous or banned in Australia, and we don't provide coverage for such breeds. If your pet's breed falls under this category after purchasing or renewing the policy, they will no longer be eligible, and we will send you a notice of non-renewal before the expiration of your current Period of Insurance.
Moreover, cats and dogs engaged in commercial or sporting activities, such as breeding, working, fighting, racing, personal protection, gun sports, law enforcement, or guarding, are not eligible for coverage. However, there are exceptions, and we do provide cover for pets engaged in specific activities like show dogs/cats, search and rescue dogs, guide dogs, assistance dogs, or customs sniffer dogs.

Why are there no sub-limits?

At Knose, we are dedicated to providing straightforward and accessible pet insurance options for both dogs and cats. Our goal is to keep Knose Pet Insurance simple and flexible to suit your unique needs. You can choose from various Annual Limits of $7,500, $12,500, or $25,000, and Benefit Percentages of 70%, 80%, or 90%. Additionally, we offer three Annual Excess options, namely $200, $100, or $0.
With Knose, you won't encounter any sub-limits, ensuring extensive coverage for your furry companions without unnecessary complications.

Does Knose offer coverage for pre-existing symptoms and conditions or hereditary conditions?

No. We don't provide coverage for pre-existing symptoms and conditions.
Knose Pet Insurance carefully distinguishes between pre-existing symptoms and conditions based on their curability. Symptoms or conditions that are considered incurable, such as diabetes and allergies, are not covered by the policy. However, if your pet has curable pre-existing symptoms or conditions like ear infections or undiagnosed vomiting or diarrhoea, they may become eligible for coverage if they remain symptom-free for 12 months.
Your questions about Knose Pet Insurance are important to us. Reach out to our team at 1300 356 642 or engage in a chat with our staff through our web chat service.

Will you pay the vet directly?

Typically, we aim to settle your claim directly with you. This means that we will send you the reimbursement for the eligible expenses. However, if you prefer us to pay the vet or another service provider directly, we can do so if they are part of our preferred network or at our discretion. After settling your claim, we will provide you with a detailed correspondence outlining the resolution. It's important to note that in some cases, we may deduct any outstanding amounts you owe us from the reimbursement.
